1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the SweetChedda platform, website and apps. By creating an account or using SweetChedda, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Eligibility & Age

You must be at least 16 years old to use SweetChedda.

3. Permitted Use & User Responsibilities

• SweetChedda is provided for personal, private listening only. It is not licensed for public performance in bars, taverns, clubs or similar venues.
• Respect the rights of artists and other rightsholders; do not present the work of others as your own.
• Comply with all applicable laws when using the service.

4. Content Rights & Intellectual Property

SweetChedda grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to access and stream content for personal use. You may not use the content for commercial purposes without permission. All SweetChedda trademarks, logos and software are the property of SweetChedda (Pty) Ltd.

5. Pricing, Fees & Payment

• Usage-based pricing: R0.01 per second of streaming.
• All charges are processed in South African Rand (ZAR). Exchange rate differences may apply for users outside South Africa.
• Payouts to eligible accounts are processed monthly in line with our payment schedule.

Additional payout details for artists and influencers are set out in Section 6 below.

6. Artists & Influencers

• Artists retain ownership of their works and grant SweetChedda a non-exclusive license to display, stream, promote and distribute their content on the platform.
• SweetChedda may use artist content for promotional purposes, including on social media and advertising.
• Revenue shares (subject to eligibility and program terms): Influencer share up to 10%; if an influencer is involved, artists receive 70%; if not, artists receive 80%.
• Platform fees and deductions may apply, including account management fees (e.g., 20%) and withdrawal fees (e.g., 15%). Final, current rates will be reflected in monthly statements and program pages.

7. Prohibited Content & Conduct

• Uploading content you do not own or have the rights to (including DJ mixtapes and samples) is prohibited.
• Any other unlawful or infringing use of the service is prohibited.

8. Feedback & User-Generated Content

By submitting feedback or user-generated content, you grant SweetChedda a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt and display such materials for the operation and improvement of the service.

9. Dispute Resolution

Except where prohibited by law, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration rather than in court.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate an account by notice. Upon termination, users retain ownership of their content and SweetChedda may cease providing access to the service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, we will provide notice by reasonable means. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
